Oh yes, it's that time of year again - Pints for Paws #5 returns June 7th! For those of you who've been following GrassLands Brewing Company for a while, you know this event is one that's near & dear to our hearts! Here's a brief rundown of what it is and why it's important!
Pints for Paws is a homebrewed craft beer festival held every year in Market Square - sponsored by the North Florida Brewers League and benefiting the Animal Shelter Foundation. Entry is $15 and you get a certain number of tickets in exchange for pours of awesome & innovative beers from the areas best homebrewers. Every dollar donated goes directly to ASF, helping them offset operational costs such as spaying & neutering, shelter maintenance, facility upgrades - you name it! Last year, with tons of local/regional enthusiasm, our club produced over 400 gallons of homebrew and helped raise over $20,000! You have no idea how much of a difference that makes in so many animals' lives.
If you know anything about us at GrassLands, it's that we have a passion for animal conservation...helping those that can't help themselves. This is an important event in our area and I highly encourage everyone reading to attend, if they can, on June 7th at 4 pm! We'll be there, but keep in mind it won't be in our GrassLands' gear - this is purely a homebrewing event! We expect to be serving two or three beers this year, just depends on whether or not our current supply will be sufficient! Fun Fact: There will be beers brewed by folks from two breweries in-planning and one operational brewery (GrassLands, Canopy Roads & Momo's)! So mark your calendars, 'Hoppers, because we wanna see your faces!
Anyways, we're keeping it short after an extremely productive & busy week. Back to brewin' again soon! Have an absolutely awesome holiday weekend, my dear readers, because you most definitely deserve it! And remember why you've got Monday off work!
