What's in store for 2014?

We kick off 2014 with a look ahead...what's really in store for 2014? Will we make good to our promise to you, our dear readers, as well as to ourselves by finally launching GrassLands Brewing Company? As the Dread Pirate Roberts said best: "We're men (& women) of action, lies do not become us." We've been telling people all along that 2014 was our year...and it looks like it'll be a great year! So what's in store? Let's go through a brief (expected) timeline through the first half of the most exciting year of our lives! By the way, it's a given that all the below is subject to change, right? Okay, on with the chlorophyll!

January

  • Continue pilot batch brewing
  • Finalize lease agreements
  • Continue investment relations
  • Scout equipment

February

  • Continue pilot batch brewing
  • Continue formal discussions with the city, county & state
  • Submit formal request for Federal brewer's permit (YIKES)
  • Begin brewery/taproom buildout
  • Brew with our commercial friends :D

March

  • Continue pilot batch brewing
  • Make public announcement of site location

April

  • Continue pilot batch brewing
  • Continue brewery/taproom buildout

May

  • Continue pilot batch brewing
  • Finalize brewery equipment & purchase
  • Finalize crowd-funding campaign
  • Brew with our commercial friends :D
  • Open. Our. Doors. (The primary launch goal all along has been to open by April - so let's see if we can hold true to that!)

June

  • Continue pilot batch brewing
  • Obtain formal pilot brewing system
  • Brew with our commercial friends :D
  • Receive state/Federal brewer's permit
  • BLAMMMO!

So the term "blammo" is obviously a little vague - I look at it as the emotional response of a commercial brewer finally allowed to brew & sell his suds! Can we get all this done in six months? That remains to be seen. However, I can promise you that we'll keep you informed every step of the way as much as we can. If 2013 was a busy year, I can't even begin to think how busy we'll be in 2014...but for a good cause. You on board? AWESOME!

Well, that'll do it for now. As I struggle to come to grips with the fact that six months seems like such a short amount of time, I'll leave you to it for an awesome weekend, my dear readers, because you most certainly deserve it! Happy New Year and let's do incredible things together from this point forward!

Prost!
